Heaven Hill Distillery
Heaven Hill Distillery was founded in 1935 by the Shapira brothers during the Great Depression. The brothers had experience in the retail industry, but they were new to the distilling business. They hired experienced distillers to help them get started. The distillery was successful from the beginning and quickly became one of the largest distilleries in Kentucky.
In 1940, Heaven Hill Distillery released its first product, Heaven Hill Bourbon Whiskey. The whiskey was a success, and it quickly became one of the most popular bourbons on the market. 1949 Heaven Hill Distillery released its second product, Evan Williams Bourbon Whiskey.
