Laird’s Applejack Brandy
Applejack, which is famously known as “America’s First Spirit,” has been a part of American culture since before our nation gained independence. The Laird family has been producing Applejack in New Jersey since 1698, and the first recorded commercial transaction was in 1780, as noted in their family ledger.
Over the past 200 years, as America has evolved, so has Laird’s Applejack. To meet the changing demands of consumers for lighter, lower-proof spirits, the Laird family created the Blended Applejack spirit category in 1972. Laird’s Applejack is now best described as an apple whiskey, made from a pure spirit blend of apple brandy and neutral grain spirits. Its aged apple brandy base gives it a rich and deep flavor with a smooth balance, while still maintaining the delicate aroma and taste of tree-ripened apples from which it is made.
Laird’s Applejack is an incredibly versatile beverage and imparts a delightful apple flavor to cocktails, punches, and culinary recipes. Try experimenting and substituting Laird’s Applejack in your favorite cocktails. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
